We understand that stepping into a recovery meeting takes courage. That's why Resilient Recovery Circles offer more than just a meeting space—we provide a confidential, trauma-informed gathering place, facilitated by skilled professionals, where your safety and autonomy are paramount. Together, we explore the path back to our bodies with gentle curiosity and deep compassion, discovering authentic ways to move beyond old coping patterns toward true liberation.
Third Fridays 7:00-8:15PM | Oakland, California
Every third Friday of the month, we gather in-person* at the beautiful Nest Yoga in Oakland—a cozy, light-filled space tucked into the heart of quirky, charming Piedmont Avenue. With soft lighting, minimalist calm, and all the blankets and bolsters you could wish for, Nest offers the perfect container to exhale the week and return to yourself.
Together, we’ll explore monthly embodiment themes—like tending to anxiety, cultivating self-compassion, or setting healthy boundaries—through gentle movement, nervous system support, and honest connection. These circles are designed to ground you in your body and nourish your recovery journey alongside somatically-curious peers.
Come settle in, slow down, and step into your weekend feeling resourced, rooted, and restored.
*Please note we have a 25-person capacity for our in-person groups, so be sure to reserve in advance.
Last Thursdays 12:00-1:00PM PST | ONLINE
Amid the hustle of the workweek, self-care and community care often fall to the bottom of the list—right when we need them most. That’s where we come in.
Join us on the last Thursday of every month for a restorative midday pause—no matter where you are. Together, we’ll slow down, breathe, move gently, and reconnect with ourselves and each other in a space of presence and support.
These virtual circles are crafted specifically for the workday: grounded, nourishing, and attuned to what’s arising in the moment. Think of it as a nervous system reset—an invitation to return to your body and remember you’re not alone.
You’ll receive a Zoom link upon registration. Come as you are—camera on or off, from your desk, your couch, or your floor. Just come.
Only 25 spaces at both in-person Circles, so RSVP ASAP!
All of our circles are donation-based. Anything over the suggested amount is a contribution to those experiencing financial hardship and a donation to the facilitators. If the sliding scale provided by our ticketing site does not work for you, please reach out. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Questions? Send us an email!

Beth Foley
Beth is a Midwest-born nature lover who found her way to sobriety through the path of yoga, an ever-evolving practice that continues to inspire and support her. Her work focuses on the power of somatic awareness and nervous system regulation to transform unwanted patterns, an invaluable skill for navigating recovery of all kinds. Beth has been sharing this work for several years, supporting many clients in releasing held trauma from their bodies and living a more aligned, fulfilling life.
We have found a huge gap in the recovery space – a supportive community that’s focused on the recovering BODY & Nervous System.
Because the body is where we feel all of the feelings we’ve been avoiding (with overworking, spending, drinking, eating, smoking, sex, and the list goes on), it’s imperative to include the body in our healing process.
We recognize all forms of addiction when we use the term “in recovery,” and intend for these groups to be fully inclusive. As long as you are interested in reconnecting with and deepening connection to your body, we would love to have you.
Every group will follow the same rhythm of peer support and process time, along with guided somatic practice and reflection. This is a trauma-informed, relaxed space to share and relate with each other, and ourselves, in new ways.
“Once you start approaching your body with curiosity rather than with fear, everything shifts.”
— Bessel van der Kolk
